About the Couple and Family
Romy and Monye met in high school and were classmates since their freshman year. After graduating High School, Romy joined the US service in 1970. Romy and Monye finally decided to tie the knots on October of 1972 and have been happily married since. The couple now have 5 beautiful children, with 2 grand children. The eldest son Eric is currently working for Fujitsu as a software engineer, and his wife Blyth Calara Obien is a nurse, and a certified massage therapist. They have two children, Kaelob who is 11 years old, and Kyle who is turning 3 years old. Romy and Monye's eldest daughter, Emerald, graduated from San Jose State University, as an occupational therapist, and is now working at Saratoga Children's Hospital, in San Jose, California. Erlene, who is the middle child, will be graduating this May of 2005 from San Jose State University with a B.S. in Marketing, and a minor in Advertising. Elaine, who is the youngest daughter, graduated from San Jose City College, with a certification in Cosmetology, and is currently working for JoJo's hair salon in downtown San Jose. The youngest son Edward, is a senior in high school, and will be heading off to college next year.
